Centrifugal Pumps API 610

Weir Gabbioneta's range of centrifugal pumps are API 610 compliant, which means that these pumps can be used in the harsh environments found in the oil, petrochemical, and natural gas industries. At the same time, overhang, double-bearing, vertical pumps, manufactured in accordance with API 610 using all proven engineering and operational practices, are structurally sealed and provide maximum safety and reliability.

According to the latest data, the share distribution of the types of centrifugal pumps produced by the company is as follows:

• More than half (52%) of the pumps produced are double-bearing units, which are widely used in crude oil processing, oil refining, high-temperature fluid transportation, pipeline equipment and systems.
• The share of multistage pumps is 18%. They are in demand for water injection, pipeline equipment, boiler feed water supply, in high-pressure process systems.
• Console units occupy 12%. They are used to solve specific problems in a wide range of processes in the oil and gas sector (very high pressure, steam jacketed units).
• The share of vertical pumps is 11%. Key applications: hydrocarbon injection, flare condensate removal, molten sulfur processes and waste treatment.
• In-line pumping units correspond to a share of 7%. They are used in oil and gas processing, for transportation of liquids, offshore applications, ancillary services.

For centrifugal units fitted with steam jackets, jackets are available in carbon steel and stainless steel with design pressures up to 15 bar. The steam jacket completely covers the pump, including the mechanical seals. Steam jackets are available for all nozzle configurations.

Steam jacket design features:

• The presence of one shell to heat the entire pump.
• Very compact device thanks to the shape of the jacket wrapping around the body.
• The flushing lines are intergrated into the support legs.
• Dry soft pack with nitrogen purge.
