WOODWARD VALVES
Woodward valves have always been known for their reliability and durability, and you are guaranteed many years of service. Woodward valves actuate gas turbine and piston engines, Woodward valves also deal with power generation systems, aircraft flight control systems.
Woodward manufactures Air Valves, Water Valves and Liquid Service Gas Valves.
GS10 VALVES
Woodward's GS10 valve is suitable for gas turbines in the power output range from 2 MW to 15 MW, depending on the available fuel gas properties and conditions. The rotary plate valve and actuator are located within a single low-carbon steel housing with 2 inch raised face flanged gas connections at standard flange-to-flange dimensions. GS10 valves are available with metering port sizes of either 0.5 in² (323 mm²) or 1.0 in² (645 mm²).
Each valve fitted with a GS actuator performs the following functions:
- Fast and accurate position control of a closed loop gas valve in response to: 4 to 20 mA command input
- Valve position indication signal (4 to 20 mA)
- Remote input of shutdown command
- Valve/Driver Fault Output
- The GS actuator can be located up to 100 meters from the valve assembly to avoid exposure to hazardous gases and corrosive environments.
GAS VALVE GS6
Woodward GS6 gas fuel metering valves are designed to meet the high performance standards required for fuel management of industrial gas turbines. The assembly provides reliable, cost-effective interfaces between the electronic control system and the gas turbine used in power generation, compressors or mechanical drives. The valve can be used in a single valve configuration for single manifold turbines or multiple valve configurations for dry low emission (DLE) turbines.
The GS6 valve features a very rugged Woodward self-cleaning metering valve design with a high torque actuator to provide extended performance in all types of gaseous fuel service. The valve is equipped with a built-in electric actuator for easy packaging and installation.

- One moving part for reliable performance
- Fully electric control
- Onboard driver
- Fast dynamic response
- Reliable self-cleaning valve
- Digital interface and/or 4-20mA
- High-precision fuel metering
- Discrete fault output and independent shutdown
- Certified for use in hazardous areas
WOODWARD REGULATORS
Woodward also produces a large number of controllers for different applications: Software, Compressor, Power electronics, Relay protection, Propulsion Aerospace, Power Demand Turbines.
They are most often responsible for controlling the speed of revolutions, supplying fuel in order to start the engine without smoke, and also for adjusting fuel pressure.
The main task of Woodward regulators, which operated by the auto control and regulation system, is to increase the efficiency, economy, and reliability of the production process. This system allows you to manage process in a more simplified form, it is also possible to expand the range of all possible operating modes of the equipment with it.
WOODWARD 8290 194
Woodward Attributes marked 8290-194 is an electrically driven (EGP) system that aids in finer control of diesel engine speed. EGP systems are used for actuators with no mechanical drive or no hydraulic oil supply required for the governor. But these regulators must have fuel connections with low mass and low friction.
WOODWARD 9907 018
2301A speed controller is capable of taking full control of the speed as well as fixing the load and speed of a diesel engine, gas engine, gas or steam turbine, provided that there is a computer signal of 4-20 mA 1-5 continuous current.
WOODWARD 8237 1247
The system called ProTech-Gll from Woodward is a controlled system designed to control the speed when it is exceeded, it also has the function of shutting down gas and steam turbines of any size, PROTECH-Gll shuts down the turbines upon overspeed detection, the process of shutting down the hydroturbines with the woodward system is absolutely safe.
The ProTech Gll attribute is fixed on a vertical wall from inside the ship's hull, it uses both low-voltage and high-voltage power supply. It has precise relay systems that perform tasks such as monitoring and preventing overspeed of the steam turbine.
WOODWARD UG40
UG40 is woodward's regulator capable of monitoring and controlling the overload of diesel engines as well as gas engines, Ug40 is also designed to control and manage speed. The Ug40 regulator is also suitable for steam turbines with two types of combustion at a certain speed: 350 to 1050 rpm or 550 to 1300 rpm. The ug40 regulators are also suitable for alternators and DC generators not excluded also pumps, compressors and propellers.
WOODWARD PGPL
The PGPL actuator has an electro-hydraulic function, also a proportional joint, the PGPL is required for project controls, with a position signal from 0 to 200 mA. A special feature of this actuator is that it has its own bottom oil tank of 2.5 liters which means that the actuator does not need a constant oil supply. The motor runs at 200 rpm up to 1500 rpm.
WOODWARD UG 8
Regulators with the designation UG-8 are capable of regulating the speeds of engines related to alternating and indispensable power flow generators, as well as generally these regulators take into account parallel operation.
WOODWARD 9907 1183
The woodward 505E regulator is digital, attribute marked 9907 1183 has a function that allows the regulator to be operated by a human, designed for mounting in the front panel area, also for control and exhaust with a usable power of 24 watts of non-leaking current.
WOODWARD 8237 2601
The attribute marked 8237 2601 is an improved version of the ProTech-Gll system, it has a high-voltage relay system, as well as an acoustic system for actuating executive devices (voice relay systems). Woodward 8237 2601 attribute differs from 8237 1247 in that in the improved version of ProTech-Gll the protection is stronger, also the protection of the improved version has signals for par. turbines.
WOODWARD MRA4
The MRA4 system - Directional Feeder Protection can also be used for generator and grid protection. Woodward has provided a simple sequence for setting up the mra4 device. Has a large selection of protection functions for suitable programs, can be used to protect the generator and the network.
WOODWARD ACTUATORS
Actuators have the function of transferring power from the ruling or regulating devices to the devices that actuate them; there are both linear and circular woodward actuators. The linear actuators differ in that they have a simpler assembly, the drives have an impressive service life, do not require periodic maintenance and unpretentious to conditions, circular actuators are usually self-contained, this type of actuators combines the electric motor and gearbox. The higher the ratio of the reduction gearbox, the lower the speed and the longer the rotation period. Linear and rotary actuators include an independent drive and a guide. Often, actuators are mechanical designs that require electricity. There are several subclasses of actuators: servo-valve, electric, hydraulic, inverter.
WOODWARD 8404 1002
Integrated Woodward L-Series engine. It has a control and monitoring system for the first speed of the engine. The L-Series High Efficiency Torque Control Motor provides 0.34 Nm (0.25 lb-ft) of power nominally over 60 travel range to operate fuel or air control devices (see torque specifications over product temperature range). Also, the L series engine is distinguished by the fact that it has modern algorithms for measuring and controlling speed, as well as the engine is able to carry out complex diagnostics to facilitate troubleshooting. In particular, it is possible to adjust the set speed.
WOODWARD EG-3P
The main element of the EG-3P actuator is an electrohydraulic transducer that controls oil flow to and from the power piston through the action of a polarized solenoid.
