Mokveld Valves – Associated Machinery Corporation Limited

Mokveld Valves

Mokveld provides the gas and oil industry with expertise and advanced valve systems for total control and safety.

Mokveld has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of valves for the global oil and gas industry. And offers a wide range of valves, custom-made according to their purpose and customer specifications:

Control valves

  • axial control valves
  • angle choke valves
  • axial type choke valves

Valves for protection systems

  • Axial check valves (for HIPPS systems)
  • axial type surge protection valves
  • axial check valves

Mokveld control valves

Mokveld manufacture control valves with a high rigidity design that does not require ongoing maintenance. The flow part, which is straightened and axisymmetric, eliminates vortex flows and changes in the direction of the flow of the medium in the valve, which are unjustified.

This method gives a strong reduction in noise and turbulence, prevents erosion that occurs in contaminated environments in the operation of valves at production sites. Axial type design provides more capacity for the same diameter than any conventional design

Typhoon low turbulence pressure reduction system

The Typhoon system is a valve building system that is the most cost-effective way to correct problems with new or existing separation and treated water systems without additional equipment.

The Typhoon low shear valve system technology minimizes droplet breakage and the formation of dense emulsions, thereby increasing separation capacity and improving separation.

Choke valves

Mokveld Choke Valves are designed primarily from tungsten carbide, which ensures small weight and size when compared with other choke valves.

Mokveld Choke valves can also be fitted with a quick closing function to protect equipment from overpressure.

Peculiarities:

  • Wide control range
  • Regulation accuracy
  • Axial flow
  • Ensuring process safety

Mokveld Angle Choke Valves

Angle valves feature the unique TVM® system. The Total Velocity Management system provides full control and control over the speed in each valve body. The flow part in the Mokveld angle valves has been modernized, which has significantly increased the life of the valve.

These valves have the most precise adjustment, have depressurized trim, and have low friction lip seals that allow small size actuators to be used. Also, a safety bonnet screwed into the body eliminates the risk of the well-known “pinched pressure” associated with bolted bonnet butterfly valves during disassembly.

Size and pressure range

  • Sizes: 2" - 14",
  • Pressure class: ANSI 600 - 2500 or API 3000 - 15,000

Alternative

  1. Choke valves with outer sleeve
  2. Choke valves with rotary disc
  3. Conventional seated control valves

Typical Applications

  1. Oil and gas
  2. Injection of water and gas into the reservoir
  3. Gas lift
  4. Temperature control due to the Joule-Thomson effect

Subsea Control Valves

Mokveld manufactures subsea control valves with successfully completed component attestation in accordance with RR2 requirements.

Mokveld subsea valves are axial flow and turbulence free due to the full bore expanded body which also eliminates erosive wear and vibration. Such valves have the peculiarity that they are able to work in contaminated conditions, for greater reliability, the trim is made of tungsten carbide.

Also, the high capacity allows smaller valves to be selected. These valves are more commonly used with a range of subsea linear actuators, designed for automatic operation with subsea electric and hydraulic actuators.
