Speed sensors
Speed sensors are designed to measure diesel engine speed in automatic electric or automatic electric and pneumatic overspeed protection systems. Sensors are usually installed to determine the speed of the flywheel of a diesel engine.

Speed switches
Speed switches are used to control engine speed in automatic diesel overspeed protection systems. If the engine speed is exceeded, the speed switch will immediately take action to stop the diesel engine.
